Yeah, I meant "gable connector." I meant apexes, as a class.
But even a gable connector has uses...mecha builders, listening?

This doesn't bother me one bit. In fact, when I buy actual sets,
I prefer fewer bricks and more plates/wings/etc--though when you
get into pieces that are *far* too specialized, yes, I draw a line.

I actually rather like it, in part because I'm a fan of the new
slope category.

From the looks of it, I'd bet $14.99, but it will probably be $20
the way pricing's been going. But I disagree completely on the part
utility--I'd bet there's a lot more going on under the hood than with
7111.

Well, we may agree there. It's not nearly as useful as 7130 was.
However, I think it will have its uses, especially in quantity (or
on sale, naturally).

They do. See the new cockpits. Those multi-slopes are halves,
two separate pieces, not one fused piece. At least, they're not
on the Racers and Alpha Team sets. I already have some of the
things, and there's a 1x6 and a 2x6 multi-slope with nice curvature
and *one flat side*.

Again, I'm much more optimistic. From the general looks of it,
that's going to be a very useful canopy, because it's not a half-
canopy like the Naboo Fighter/B-Wing canopy, but a full flush-canopy.
I'm already devising uses for the thing.
So, tell you what: You figure out what pieces you want, I'll
figure out what pieces I want, and we'll split 'em. ;) But I'm
withholding criticism and going with my feeling that the Jedi
Starfighter is "promising".
