But the Blockade runner is simply jaw dropping. And as for parts, can you
count the number of  large white cylinders? Used not just for the docking
ports, but for all the engines too.

Lots of cylinders yes.  Looks like a total of 52 quarter cylinders.  I
wonder if those are stickers on them?

It does look great.  But I still wish it was grey.  I'd be jumping up and
down right now if that was the case.  As it is now I'm just mildly exited.
It could at least have been that light grey color thats available in the
mosaic sets.

On another note as a model its beautiful.  I love the way the plates wrap
around the hammer head.  The techno bits here and there look great. (like in
the grey areas in the wedges on the sides)
Really cool to see a microfig scale ship for sale.  Reminds me of those old
pics of the Super Star Destroyer they built.  Maybe they should sell that as
well. ; )

(...) Well I've already ordered my copy but I am not as excited as some people who seem to have been waiting for this for years. I think my reaction is that the Blockade Runner, while a nice looking ship, doesn't have the innovative hull shape that (...) (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

But the Blockade runner is simply (...) (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars) !
