It was reported on theForce.net but confirmed by StarWars.com. If you go to
this link:
http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicle/sandcrawler/index.html
You will see by the highlighted roman numerals that the sandcrawler appeared
in episode IV (of course), I (a brief background cameo), and it is indicated
as appearing in II. How it will appear of whether it will figure in the plot
at all is unknown.
I don't consider this spoiler material since it is from the official site.
