I'm not totally disagreeing with you but I doubt that the Lucasfilm approval
process isn't as tight as it probably was with the initial release. I would
bet initialy Lucasfilm had to see each set, instructions, special parts etc.
live and in person with presentations. The whole 9 yards. I bet that as time
wares on Lucasfilm gets a comfort level with a licensee like LEGO and I get now
all that is required is a couple pictures and a writeup at best.
Besides even if they didn't do Mars aliens they might do something like Sebulba
and that is at least as bad if not worse.
