Well, I finally got my UCS Xwing and I can say its by far the best Lego set Ive
ever seen (dont have the other UCS, so can't compare). Its 5 hours of
building are the best building time Ive had. It really a great experience you
cant understand if you dont have an UCS set.
One thing I couldnt help noticing:
[Im not sure if this has been mentioned before, dont think so...]
The 4 Xwing lasers are not exactly the same; two of them have this 6-studs-long
-ribbed-hose and the other two have 3xtwo-studs-long-plain-tubes covering the
black axels.
Is this a design feature of the Xwing lasers or Lego did this for a random
reason I dont understand?

| (...) The production models of the X-Wing had a spiral pattern painted on two of the cannons, which would seem to be what the ribs are for. You can get a good look at them in this picture: (URL) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.starwars)
