The 4 Xwing lasers are not exactly the same; two of them • have this
6-studs-long
-ribbed-hose and the other two have • 3xtwo-studs-long-plain-tubes covering the
black axels.

Is this a design feature of the Xwing lasers or Lego did • this for a random
reason I dont understand?

The production models of the X-Wing had a spiral pattern
painted on two
of the cannons, which would seem to be what the ribs are
for.

Wow, that is a great model. Looks like it went through a
dust wbowl or something. The colors give the CS X-Wing a
better view. I htought it was too colorful, now I know why.
