It does. I added a new subfolder to the Gallery, and if you're not tired of
looking at pictures of the model, there are additional 10 pictures that show
how the gear work. Click on the "LandingGear" picture.

The front gear opens in a fashion similar to the "real" X-Wing. In my first
7140 mod, there was actually an access hatch that opened and closed up to
conceal the gear. In this version I haven't yet found a way to build a cover
hatch in.

The rear gear used to be made of grey skis, but they broke off too easily,
and I couldn't find a satisfactory way to attach them to the engine when I
inverted the lower S-Foils (Wings). In the second to last picture you can
see how they snugly press against the fuselage in the "up" position. Not
accurate, but it is a nice slight of hand that hides the gear unless you
know where to look at the correct angle. (The use of 1x4 tiles for "skis"
enchances the "hiding" effect - it seems to blend in as part of the engine).

Thanks!
Mark
