But Darth Maul is an alien. LEGO has never hesitated to be creative with
decidely alien heads, witness Maul and all sorts of UFO, Insectoid, and
other space aliens. The undead (skeletons, mummies) get the same creative
consideration. Human minifigs (of the poseable generations) are never
portrayed accurately, caucasian (I'm not yellow) or otherwise.
The closest LEGO seems to have come to violating this was with Vader. Even
here though it could be argued that he is alien in his uniqueness and that
his head showed special detail only to be found under his helmet. This does
seem to be an exception rather than a trend since they didn't give the
Emperor a white (or otherwise abnormally pale) head.
