Re: Check this out! LEGO Star Wars Galactic Challenge World Championship

(...) It's too bad that contest isn't open to AFOLs... a trip to Denmark, a preview of the new sets, and a life-size Lego Star Wars model of their choice signed by George Lucas! What AFOL wouldn't kill for that? I wonder if you can get a life-size (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Cloud City

(...) Maybe they can create your suggested playsets and make them compatible to each other like they did with some castle-sets (walls, houses, castle) some years ago. The sets could be combined in any 2 dimensional way you like with technic (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Check out that link! (URL) sweet prizes there. (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  RE: Cloud City

i was kidding about the minifig scale star destroyer... but i still think chunks of the deathh star are still viable, like ion cannon towers, cell block, trash compactor, emporer's throne (not room, again, too big) and such i'd like a chunk of the (...)   Re: My DSDK AT AT Walks backwards

(...) Bad idea - I doubt the electronics would operate very well with reverse current. I'd suggest you look for anywhere where there might be some gearing transferring the drive through a right-angle, and check the take-off gear is on the correct (...)   Re: Cloud City

(...) They also made the "Rebel Transport" from ESB (The ones they use to escape from Hoth). It wasn't a playset, it was the complete ship. Basically, you could stand all your action figures in it. It was completely out of scale. Kev Z #142 (24 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Cloud City

(...) True, but it was also horribly, horribly out of scale. Still, *lots* of the Hasbro ships etc were subject to "selective compression". The X-wing was a bit stout around the middle and had short wings. The Millenium Falcon was pretty grossly (...) (24 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Cloud City

(...) They made a playset with some of the features of the Executor, and there was, of course, the Death Star Playset, but those were the only ones that were compatible with the 3.5" figs. I've seen pictures of a prototype Tantive IV, but they never (...) (24 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Cloud City

(...) But did not Kenner do some capital ships for their figures that were not to movie scale but still looked cool. Perhaps Lego could do the same. A small Minifig Blockade Runner would still look awesome if built right. Who cares about scale? A (...) (24 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Cloud City

I seriously doubt they'll do a Star Destroyer, or the Mon Calimari Cruiser, or even a blockade runner, unless they do them as a UCS set. A proper mini-fig scale Star Destroyer would be quite large, and quite expensive. Basically it would require a (...) (24 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)
