OOOOOOOhhh...hhh! AAA...AAAhhh...hhh! I've been browsing through "cool site of the week", and this is up there in the high quality models category. Awesome use of UFO parts, and for the yellow ship, I now have enough ideas to turn my pile of yellow (...) (24 years ago, 2-Sep-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

  UCS scaling

I know that, but what scale? (i.e. 1:20 1:10) Thanks, -Jonathan McKay (24 years ago, 2-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Dan Jassim

Wow! That red freighter is amazing, very Star Wars-ish! And it's amazing how much stuff he crammed into it: retractable landing gear, escape pod, entry ramp, bunks, personal hygiene station (bathroom)... I love it! And the MF & yellow ship are cool (...)   Dan Jassim

Hi Everyone, I have been corresponding via email with a new friend named Dan Jassim. He lives in California, and he sent me some pictures of some of his creations. I uploaded them to my brickshelf account and you can see them here. I've been trying (...) (24 years ago, 2-Sep-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

  UCS scaling...

Jonathan McKay, its Jono here - He means to the scale of the ships in the movie, as if they were "real" vehicles. The scale is to a real X-wing/Tie interceptor if the y "actually" existed in human-scale.... Jonoman (still in search of a 6286) (24 years ago, 2-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) what "actual" ship? -Jonathan McKay (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS Scaling question

(...) They're not scaled to either, they're scaled from an "actual" ship. I don't know why Lego decided to throw in that R2-D2 on top... -Bryan (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Pictures of Enfield Model Shop

Hmm... he proportion of it makes it look more like a 767, but I understand that the curvature of the plane is difficult to convey with bricks. :^) ~Mark (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.starwars)

  UCS Scaling question

Hello, I was wonderiing wether the UCS series was scaled to minifigs or technic figs. I thought techinic figs but then there's that minifig scale R2-D2 on top of the x-wing. Just wondering Thanks, -Jonathan McKay (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  re: synicism

...i'm sorry to be so harsh in my words over lego's MF, it's just that it is garbage- tooooo many "open" spots, but w/ a bit of work, it can look 1/2 decent - that's the fun, i guess, but i don't thinl they should market something so half-heartedly (...) (...) I want to make a 747 to scale with the Technic shuttle. That 757 is a good reference for me - Thanx - Any other aircraft photos or info.?   MF review....

Hi, I'm Jono, and here's my opinion of lego's falcon: I think its really great that lego is helping kids learn their colours, because the lego MF has EVERY single colour that has ever existed. EVER. That is all. Jonoman (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: #7191 UCS X-Wing brief review

Re: #7191 UCS X-Wing brief review

The Kenner figure works pretty good. It's a tight fit, and I had to do some disassembly of the cockpit to get him in, but otherwise - it's a nice fit. A side note - the Tie Fighter cockpit has much more room and it's quite easy to fit a pilot in. (...) (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)
