Re: Concerns with Racial Attitudes and Lego

(...) A lot of people have said this, but I'd be interested to see them actually draw lines and point out these so-called "factions". There seem to be only two that really exist- those who are discussing something they find interesting (for whatever (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Concerns with Racial Attitudes and Lego

Hey everybody... After reading a few of the highlights from the recent debates on adding different color minifigs into the Lego product line, I thought I'd offer a few words. I have a major concern with the discussions and the attitude portrayed. (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Lego minifig scale Death Star or, gosh, I'm sorry!

This post was inspired by all those "Has anyone made a minifig scale Death Star?" and "At, last my minifig scale Millennium Falcon is complete!" posts. This is a joke! The moon is still there!(Go outside and look if you don't beleve me!) Hey all! (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Where Brooklyn at? (Was: racial politics, black pack, etc.)

(...) be (...) Yeah, Bruce, you're certainly right. I watched ep 4 again two nights ago and the only black person that I counted was an extra in the mos eisley scenes. apparently, though Lucas wised up. thank god. ---D. (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Racial politics in LEGO (Endless debates in LUGNET about race would be a good title too!)

Yo nigga, what the deal? Just to clarify, I emailed Brad Justus a day or two ago and asked him if he might check out the thread that begins with "Who's feelin' the black pack?" when he's got the time. He's yet to reply, but rest assured that as soon (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Cheap sets in the UK ???

(...) Ummm- I'm a big moron. It's Tim that has the fab FBTB site, not Tony. My apologies to Tim. Chris (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Cheap sets in the UK ???

(...) try the FBTB link on the Lugnet Starwars page. Tony has some info there about sales in the UK. Chris (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Cheap sets in the UK ???

Re: SW "PodRacing" bucket -- That's not Sebulba in there... >:-P ~~~

(...) I saw that. I think the least Lego could have done is use the Gasgano head they had in the big podracing set. That one at least looks kind of alien. Aquanauts heads are useless. (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

SW "PodRacing" bucket -- That's not Sebulba in there... >:-P ~~~

I bought the Star Wars bucket, the so-called "pod racing" bucket, because I wanted to see what kind of minifig "face" pattern LegoCo used for what I thought was the bucket's version of Sebulba. First of all, the alien critter isn't named at all (...) (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: where can I find the ucs sets in canada????

(...) You should be able to find the UCSs in TRU. You may have to ask the rep because the shelfs empty rapidly. (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Star Wars value pack @ Target

Yes, I saw it Tuesday when I met Jorge at his Target to observe how he learned about the 20.. Wel, we don't want to bring *that* up again, do we? Steve (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Racial politics in LEGO (Endless debates in LUGNET about race would be a good title too!)

Jason, (...) Usually, when I see this, it does mean it, but I digress, I am rather sick of this discussion to begin with. (...) I have little faith in reiterating this discussion about Lando and Panaka for the 5th, 6th, 7th, etc. time. I am sick to (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Where Brooklyn at? (Was: racial politics, black pack, etc.)

(...) I get a much different feel about Chewie, but I think I've been influenced by the books where (not surprisingly) his back story and character are covered in more depth. (...) I didn't have the hate for Jar-Jar as most people did, though he (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Racial politics in LEGO

I must catch a flight in 15 mintues and will not have email for a few days, but had to post quickly: 1. No offense Scott S., but just because something has been discussed before does not mean it should not be discussed again and that nothing will (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)
