FunBrix Pic of the Week #2

Hi All, The second FunBrix Pic of the Week has been selected! Ben's LEGO Millennium Falcon. It nearly a year old, but it’s still a great model and picture! (...) Try unwrapping it.... I cut it at a different place so you can see how it needs to be unwrapped and pasted together. Strangely enough, I think David Karr (his machine gun is mirrored at the site mentioned in the article) may well have the (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

  Lego references found in print

Spotted LEGO in a couple of magazines recently: the first, a full-page ad for the UCS sets in a Vertigo comic. (URL) the URL in the ad is wrong! The second, an article in Shift magazine. I was going to scan it but found it online at (URL) is (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Has Anyone Joined the Dark Side Yet?

(...) Can you tell me how they work? I can see that the upper legs are two parallel beams, which can control the angle at the knee joint. But, what operates the horizontal bar at the top? It would have to tilt this bar at the same time as driving (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.starwars)

Re: I realized I want Star Wars!

(...) We pay more in the UK too, but seriously the SnowSpeeder for me is the best set around. It's good value compared to other Lego, and has a lot of rebuild potential. Also, it's from the original trilogy - the Episode I stuff just isn't the same. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

(...) As long as your CD-ROM drive can handle PhotoCDs (and most made after 1991 can), it doesn't matter whether you have a PC or a Mac. PhotoCD is its own standard, sort of like web graphics. best LFB (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Great! Thanks for the tip...I just hope they can store the picture in a MAC compatible format. I'm sure there are ways, I'll let everyone know how it worked out. I just gotta get my Imperial Shuttle on the site. Peace, ou (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)
