Oops.. absolutely correct - do I feel like an idiot? :) As Doug says, the brick can only be programmed in a limited sense using VLL. (...) Actually, the Droid Developer Kit and Dark Side Development Kit contain the Micro Scout which is not really programmable. See (URL) details on how to program it with a VLL. Hi Mark If you can't get your hands on the original dev kit CD-ROM, you should be able to program it with NQC. If the hardware is the same as the Dark Side Development Kit (pretty sure it is) NQC works brilliantly. Cheers Tom (...) (15 years ago, 15-Aug-09, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.starwars)

Picked up a used Droid Developer Kit (set #9748) via garage sale. Had the instruction manuel, the micro-scout and missing less than a handful of parts (easily replaced).
