  Re: ISD Build competition

(...) That would be awe inspiring.. (...) Not sure on this one.. (...) Here's how they're running it: 8 teams 10 people each. 2 Teams at a time competing 2 6' Banquet tables per team 4 sessions Friday (The Indy AFOL Knights will begin at 7PM) Time (...)   Re: ISD Build competition

(...) Yeah, I'm kind of wondering how well that will work. 10 AFOLs can build an ISD in about 1-2 hours, no problem. A non-Lego team? Who knows? The first AFOL build took 13 people 1 hour, 43 minutes, IIRC. Will a non-Lego team be done before the (...)   Re: ISD Build competition

(...) No, no.. the Waiting list is that long.. they are only allowing 8 teams... of which My primarily AFOL team is one..so Jump on the wagon folks...I've still got 2-3 open spots on the team. (20 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: ISD Build competition

(...) Um, wow. That's quite the difference. Should be interesting to see how far behind the LUGNET team the other teams are. That's a ton of ISDs and a lot of table space to boot.   Re: ISD Build competition

(...) .. (...) I spoke with the organizer, and, thanks to advertising on Starwars.com, the entry/waiting list is up to 56 teams! Steve (20 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: ISD Build competition

(...) Joe, I'll join the team! The thing is that I can only be there on Saturday the 23rd. Do we have to be preregistered? I was planning on just paying at the door. I'll try to see what days I can get off of work to come to a practice. David (...) (20 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.starwars)

(...) A total shame, but I understand. One must visit the Holy Land ;-) We'll miss you.. any of the other Laffayette crew wanna come play? (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.starwars)

On Tue, March 22, 2005 3:36 pm, Joe Greene said: (...) Saturday the 8th is bad. Maybe Saturday the 9th. In any case, I'd like to attend, but I'll be in Denmark that weekend. Steve (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: ISD Build competition

(...) Ok, They have decided to go ahead and go for it even with only 3 teams. That means we need 7-8 more builders! Come on Star Wars AFOLs! Let's rock this party!!! Anyone already in Indianapolis Area, I'll be receiving the practice set soon, so (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.starwars)

  Star Wars Vignette

I don't recall having seen any Star Wars vignettes (well other than the storyteller sets), so I thought I'd try doing some of my own. Maybe I'm the first, I'm pretty sure I'm the first StarWars Vignette at lugnet.build.vignette. So anyhow, here's (...)   Re: LEGO Star Wars demo game available for download

(...) I was going to post a followup but forgot... of the three Windows machines I have available, none were able to run it either. This is a pretty hefty requirement, IMO. If they were going to release it for the 'Cube, it wouldn't be a problem, (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Thats no moon!!!

(...) Looks like a direct response to AFOLs complaining that there isn't a quick way to build up their collections of the new colors. I bet if you dropped that sucker it would make a heck of a 'splash'! JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Thats no moon!!!

(...) Apparently someone at LEGO choose to trust the official website. (I could wonder who actually filles data into that site) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: LEGO Star Wars demo game available for download

(...) Too bad this demo needs built in Pixel Shader 1.1 support. It refuses to launch because my Intel 82845G Graphics Controller chip set doesn't support it. The screen shots look nice enough, but I won't be springing for a new video card to play (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Deathstar playset MOC

Wow, Paul this is amazing. Looking at the thumbnail overview page on Brickshelf, I had that "is this really made out of LEGO, or is this a reference shot from the movie?" thought, which is always a good sign. The grand scale of this MOC is so (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Star Wars and Moby commisioned illustrations from back in 2002

Don't know why it's taken me so long to post these, but anyhow back in 2002 I was commisioned to do a couple of LEGO illustrations, one for SPIN magazine, one for Mojo magazine. Here they are for the first time online: (URL) This one was to (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX) !

(...) I would like to thank all of you that posted. It was a lot of fun to build and i'm glad you have enjoyed it. I to have been dreaming of making this MOC for some time. Paul Thomas (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Deathstar playset MOC

Paul, WOW, I think I've actually dreamt of something like this since I was like 9! So cool, so cool. Thanks for taking the time to build it. Jon furman (20 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars)

Star Wars Weekend at Leoland California need help!

Ok all you west coast AFOL's. The park is asking for our help with the Star Wars weekend at LLCA on April 30th-May 1st. There will be a ISD record building attempt on Saturday as well as Sunday.
