Ok, They have decided to go ahead and go for it even with only 3 teams.

I spoke with the organizer, and, thanks to advertising on Starwars.com, the entry/waiting list is up to 56 teams!

Um, wow. That’s quite the difference. Should be interesting to see how far behind the LUGNET team the other teams are.

That’s a ton of ISDs and a lot of table space to boot.

(...) No, no.. the Waiting list is that long.. they are only allowing 8 teams... of which My primarily AFOL team is one..so Jump on the wagon folks...I've still got 2-3 open spots on the team. (19 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

(...) Yeah, I'm kind of wondering how well that will work. 10 AFOLs can build an ISD in about 1-2 hours, no problem. A non-Lego team? Who knows? The first AFOL build took 13 people 1 hour, 43 minutes, IIRC. Will a non-Lego team be done before the (...)
