I had a litte apprehension about building this off the ground, but then I remembered that while this only brings the ground level about three bricks up, the whole pit will bring it up about fifteen bricks. (...) Thanks Tim. The SNOT really complicates the construction, and although I like the look of it a lot more than a studs up alternative, it really weakens the model and takes up a lot of the interior space. Wow, great dome, Bruce. It's great the way the entrance leads down below ground. And always good to see Luke in the Gilligan hat. -Brendan (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

(...) Cool model bruce! But I noticed on your webpage, you say SNOT is cool.... Actually mine is kinda warm and sticky, but I do suppose it does cool off rather quickly once it is out of my nose. Looks cool, it also looks like it has a pretty complicated construction for something seemingly so simple. Ah, the pleasures of designing round things in a square medium! Tim And there was me anticipating pics of Larry's new house! (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)
