I kinda like this. It seems like a straightforward set with some usable pieces at a price point that's not a bargain, but reasonable. I would agree with Pedro in that this should be looked at as a skintone issue, not a race issue. As analogy: Before LEGO made an Episode 2 Anakin minifig, they never made minifigs with orangey-brown hair. Before that, you had to choose red or brown (...) (22 years ago, 7-Oct-02, to lugnet.starwars)

I just want to say this: When I saw the comic by Greg Hyland (sp?) on (URL) I saw Lando. My non-discriminatory imagination saw Lando. Lego is an imaginitive toy - imagine whatever you want and it will come true. Lego is right to have a one color (...) (22 years ago, 7-Oct-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Lenny Hoffman brought up an interesting observation back in February, which is that outside of LEGO, sometimes the color yellow is indeed intended to signify caucasian skin tones. His example was the TV show The Simpsons. Light skinned chracters (...) (22 years ago, 6-Oct-02, to lugnet.starwars)
