Re: Question about building an AT-AT

(...) Hi Mychal, I ended up using friction pegs for the major joints, and relying on the weight of the AT-AT to hold the joints in position. In all, there are four major "joints" in the leg - the "hip" joint, which actually is located behind the (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 Snowspeeder....

(...) One more thing: Excellent part selection. Sure, the main model is terrific but the best thing about the set is it's versatility. You can do so much with just the parts from this set. A while ago someone undertook a project to make as many SW (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  7130 Snowspeeder....

Aaron, I believe I speak for a lot of SW AFOLs by pointing out a few great qualities of this set. 1) Popularity. Everybody loves Empire Strikes Back, and the snowspeeder/Han and Luke rescue scene was sort of the equivalent to the podrace sequence of (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) Many people have a very high opinion of this set. Maybe because it looks so great without using a lot of specialized peices. In this regard it is more of a purists set. Plus, it's pretty hard to find as it's been discontinued for at least two (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Who is Obi-wan Kenobi LEMPBO?

Pardon my ignorance, but why have I never heard of Obi-wan Kenobi Lempbo before? I was having a squiz (oz for looking) through some old catalogues yesterday and noticed the following in 2000, and I quote: 7161 Gungan Sub Jar Jar Binks guides Qui-Gon (...) "Jeremy Scott" <Copyright@cox.net> wrote in message news:GutMwL.BGv@lugnet.com... (...) The RBR from S@H is in the same style large flimsy box as the UCS sets. I doubt they'd change much going to retail. Does the retail version have a coloured (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Could someone check their 7119 Cloud Car?

Hi all, I was looking at my cloud car today and comparing it to the set inventory for it at (URL) says there are 2 red 2x12 plates in the set, but mine has 2x10 plates instead. Could someone check their cloud car to verify this? Thx, Bryan (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New Destroyer Droid

(...) In the picture, your design comes off as a super-destroyer droid.. bigger and better than a normal droideka, especially with that frightful towering height! peace -lenny (22 years ago, 21-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Question about building an AT-AT

(...) If you just want posability I'd go for wormgears, they offer good strenght if built solid. Have a peek in Christopher Snead's (Mech builder) Brickshelf account: (URL) (22 years ago, 21-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Question about building an AT-AT

I'm just looking for some input from people who have built one. How does one hinge the leg and hip joints? I suppose there's always click hinges but I was looking for another way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (22 years ago, 21-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: More Breaking News: imperial troops in Afghanistan!

(...) That is hilarious. The really funny part is, the other day I was thinking how funny it would be if AT-ATs were actually in Afghanistan. -Mike Petrucelli (22 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)
