  Re: New MOC: F-38 Impulse

(...) So awesome. I haven't tried my hand at lego lettering. It looks so great, especially here. Pat Bunn (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Hey Dan, great fighter as always. What amazes me about your style is that it always looks so clean. There is something about your work that is 'essential' (meaning, of the essence) - it reminds me of 1950's style space fighters. Very good (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Although I find CS to be a great reference for anything space or over-the-top-aviation, it does stray into that "huh" area when it comes to physics and general rule-bending. When the first computer game came out a few years ago, the main point (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

I guess that's the smallest minifig P38 entry so far. This one works for me. Very nice touch to find the "white-black-white" stripes on the wings and twin fuselage! Nice work Jamie! JP. (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Contest Entry: SA-380 Dragonfly MOC

(...) Thanks for taking time to comment. I have always been inspired by your work. It would not take too much imagination to convert this desigin into an evolved y-wing type of ship. Actually, a y-wing MOC itself could have been a contest entry in (...) (20 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I actually found the wing droop to be quite nice - a nice change of pace. Altho my eyes are getting acustomed to looking at studless creations, this design is nice. The engines specifically look very cool; a convincing use of the brown droid (...) (20 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  My P-38 entry

I emailed this entry on the 30th, but didn't get the rest of the pics up until now. It's black and blue with SNOT wings and I think it's quite swooshable. (URL) if you prefer Brickshelf: (URL) haven't been very active in space lately, but it's (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

I think it would be wonderful if the entries were also posted on the fighters section of the Shipyard. I think the community should definitly be the one to decide. Cool! A contest to make a space creation that looks like my favorite pre-jet-era aircraft!! I'd suggest an "extra points" contest to get the cockpit entry as close to the original as possible. Ley this is a great ship. I really like the slide-open cockpit and arch-insets in the wings. Like Paul, I'm not feeling the P-38 vibe on this one, but it is cool nonetheless. The only aspect of the ship I didn't like was the drive-dingus that hangs (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
