I wouldn't mind seeing a return to the amber yellow of classic space.  But
I suppose that the antifreeze is just so much more sexy, since it can
be photographed (or photoshopped) to appear as if it is glowing.

Sexy? Well, I don´t like that *all* the recent Space sets have had the
antifreeze yellow or orange.
The original trans-yellow would be great again. Like in my own Lava-planet
theme, with trans-yellow, red and yellow.

I should have used the word "photogenic."

I don't mind the antifreeze color (I like it a lot more than
I do translucent orange) but my heart thrills to the darker jewel
tones (red, blue, green).

Or transparent red!  A long neglected color.

Really. I have one trans-red windshield from a spyrius set. It is awesome!
How about trans-red, white and black? No, too Futuron-like...
Trans-red, white and blue? No, too Ice-planet like...
Trans-red, white and green? Yuck, Octan 2000!

Haha!  (Humming Deep Purple's "Space Trucking")

I can´t think of any good scheme for the trans-red, but it is a great
colour.

I think white sets it off well, although not sure about the
secondary color.  It looks good on black as well.  Probably would
look good on tan or (less likely to thrill) dark gray as well.

It may sound too Ritvikish, but, speaking of parenthetical Deep
Purple comments, I'd like to see a line with purple canopies.

Or metallic gold windows.  White space craft with gold
canopies -- Sun Divers!  Craft for exploring sunspots.  Pretend
that your minifigs can see out but that the blinding harsh light
of the corona can't get in.
