MOC Microfig Space Carrier —Mark Sandlin
Hi Everyone, I have just finished construction of my new microfig-scale Space Carrier. (URL) has two forward launch bays, and one recovery bay below. Fighters are then lifted into the hangar. The main communications antenna is visible on the (...) (24 years ago, 11-Nov-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build) !

Re: MOC Microfig Space Carrier —David Simmons
Marvelous design, very evocative of the Sulaco from "Aliens" in that it looks built for practical use, not aesthetics. Very nice. Love the mini-ships. I really like the patchwork appearance, like it's been modified constantly. Dave Mark Sandlin (...) (24 years ago, 11-Nov-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: MOC Microfig Space Carrier —Mark Sandlin
Thanks Dave, Some of my smaller ships can be sleek or streamlined, but usually when I make capital ships, I like to make them rather cluttered, since they aren't necessarily made to look nice. The only instance I can think of where a capital-scale (...) (24 years ago, 11-Nov-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: MOC Microfig Space Carrier —Patrick Justison
Mark, Awesome work on that Carrier! Very lean and mean. I really like the deatils on the bridge. You were undoubtably influenced by the big KEN as we all were. Anyway, your work continues to improve. Is this you first attempt at a big microfig ship? (...) (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: MOC Microfig Space Carrier —Mark Sandlin
(...) Thanks Pat! Yeah, I was influenced by Ken Takeuchi, and I think I was also subliminally influenced by Macross, since I built the bridge and later realized it looked like the SDF Macross.    (...) wonderful models you are slowly pushing me to build spaceships and not mecha. Bryce McGlone (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: MOC Microfig Space Carrier —Mark Sandlin
(...) Heh. I just saw your mecha pics on brickshelf. If you keep making stuff that mean-looking, I may not have the courage to build mecha again. ;^) ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)
