  Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

Thought I'd take another shot at moonbase design. There is no backstory, or purpose to the structure...just an excuse to use all those 1x2 trans green bricks again. Mocpages: with the standard disclaimer (URL) *warning: the word "elitist" is used in (...) (18 years ago, 26-Mar-06, to lugnet.space) !!

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) Lies! You'll never fool us, we've already pinpointed the location of your secret snack-cake factories. (...) Much like a shot-glass of paint thinner, your MOC inspires, arouses, and numbs my nose. Copious use of transparent and solid green is (...) (18 years ago, 26-Mar-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

<snip> (...) <snip> (...) and you left out "no fun whatsoever" (...) Beauty Keith, beauty. It's a heck of permitting office though. What with all your chatter of neighborhoods and fence heights, and allowable colors for homes. Just draft a charter (...) (18 years ago, 26-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) Masterful use of all those trans-green bricks. Recently the local Pick-A-Brick has been full of trans-blue and trans-red, and while not as hot as trans-green, I now see they have a use. This moonbase has a very dominating attitude. The sharp (...) (18 years ago, 26-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

Wow, this is some serious architecture. Needs a backstory... Hmmm... I think the cult of Scientology has opened up shop on the moon. The building looks somewhat like one of their logos with the triangles... And the whole thing is cover for the (...) (18 years ago, 28-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

(...) You forgot leaving behind a summoned radioactive monster. Darn cultists. (18 years ago, 28-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) Why Mocpages and not your own website, where I can read the captions and look at the full size images at the same time? (18 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

(...) ... (...) This is a truly amazing work of art. Thank you for sharing it with us. -David (18 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) Because Mocpages has a review function, Bram, and my own website sadly does not. Newbrickorder was, like Pepsi Clear, an interesting experiment, but ultimately a failure I think. I really only use it as a backup in case Brickshelf/Mocpages (...) (18 years ago, 30-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

(...) I'm sold, Coop. I'm in the process of assembling the appropriate cast of minifigs, including L. Ron Hubbard, Travolta (white suit) and Cruise (tighty-whities). I just have to figure out what a "clay table" looks like without actually going (...) (18 years ago, 30-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) And here I thought the name electric boogaloo was a clue. Clearly there is a decimal missing from the signage; it's really 33.33. Yes it's the lunar repository of vinyl lps. Where else to stock a massive supply of all the song viruses which (...) (18 years ago, 30-Mar-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) Her Keith another execellent MOC here, the A-frame design is wicked cool and who needs interiors anyway! Bah! Hope you do bring this to fest! Good use of the trans-green but trans-green has always seemed a little too space-hippish to me. (...) (18 years ago, 30-Mar-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) Fair enough. I just find Mocpages interface rather clumsy for looking at MOCs. (...) I think it kicks ass. I think we need more moonbase modules with interesting shapes, good color schemes, and great detailing. I like the cutouts in the (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) This sure is purty. All I can say is that I'd better be seeing it at BrickFest this year. Also, the design vaguely looks like the chapel at the Air Force Academy. Not that I'd expect you to have known that, pinko. Derek (18 years ago, 26-May-06, to lugnet.space)

(...) I like the cat The number "9" would have been funnier; "11" being the funniest number in existence. Your triangle design is acute one. It needs a train JOHN (18 years ago, 26-May-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) Well, why don't you clue me in then, you hardcore baby-killer....Mr. I'm so cool because I'm a Major now. Where's the link to this so-called chapel? I thought you guys worshiped the winter solstice and sat around naked in a drum circle. Oh, (...) (18 years ago, 28-May-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase2: Electric Boogaloo

(...) I know that using Google is a bit more than you can handle, technology-wise, so I went ahead and found a few links for you. By the way, I'm wearing that hoop-skirt right this minute (it's a bit tight, since I bought it for Fradel). What time (...) (18 years ago, 28-May-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) This is the kind of thing I don't mind my tax dollars going to. It looks especialy cool in the pic with the jet. I didn't realize you purchased the garment for Fradel; but now it all makes sense. Dan Rubin's fate is sealed. Now that you've (...) (18 years ago, 28-May-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)
