Hi all. After two years of lurking, Ive decided to post one of my MOCs on
Lugnet.
The CLPS mail ship is, of course, a mail ship. Why would people in a space going
civilization write letters? Beats me. We have the internet. We still write
letters.
Nonetheless, the mail ship has a reasonably low capacity (You dont see the USPS
running full length trains across the country): 6 standard sized crates, and
however much data can be fit into its databanks.
This ship is consistent with technologies outlined in Larry Nivens Known
Space series: it features a Quantum one hyperdrive, inertial compensators,
fusion engines, and an auto kitchen. Everything you need for a couple days of
space travel.

| (...) I love the front half. The shape and color scheme work really well up there. The rear half seems to be really busy, with the different-colored cargo containers combined with the yellow/black striping. That's realistic, though. I love the (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)
