This year and last year we lost to them in overtime, but at least we kept it close.

I did “Spartans vs. Wolverines” once before, with mechs. This time I’m using dark blue, which is a better match for the U of Mich. color, and this time the battle is in the air.

Random notes: I finally got the gear parts I needed to make one of Dan Rubin’s miniguns. Dark green would also be a better choice for the Spartans, but I think I have a total of maybe three dark green parts, so I’m still using standard green. That big Jedi canopy has a lot of potential, but it’s hard to elegantly cap off the front of it.

Does the Spartan taste like peppermint?

Mmm... DELICIOUS!

LOL

Kyle, both of these MOCs rock!

The Spartan’s cockpit looks very room and probably gives awesome situational awareness to the pilot and wizzo. The oversized front gun is also nice, but I just wish it were in either grey or black, just to make it look meaner. Likewise with the missiles... Perhaps an orange/red/blue/black 2x2 round plate as an accent to distinguish them from the rest of the ship? That said, they look pretty cool clustered as they are... I’m going to have to steal that idea, sorry. :-p

The Wolverine reminds me of Sonic the hedgehog, heh. It’s so small that I wonder whether it can operate on its own without a mothership. It just has that “cockpit-strapped-onto-tiny-engine” TIE fighter look, which is pretty darn cool if you ask me. I can just imagine a whole bunch of them swarming out of some gigantic carrier.

One question: What part did you use for the missile tubes on the Wolverine?

Keep on posting Kyle!

(...) Good to hear from you, Mladen! I've gotten other comments (on previous MOCs, too) about introducing additional accent colors. Once I start blocking the colors, I have a tendency to go as strict as my parts will allow. I like your idea of (...) (19 years ago, 2-Nov-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
