  Re: MOC: The GuiseBot

(...) Why do you have two robots mingled in the same directory? Wait a minute--those are the same robot! The Groucho glasses totally threw me! -Teddy (20 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The GuiseBot

I like models that make me imagine how they might be practical in their funky details. This would be a good utility robot for inhospitable environments. The "hat" seems like a protector for the canopy (micrometeorites, solar radiation, or you could (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Ministry of Space is GO!

I hate you. Splendid idea; excellent execution. I especially like how you managed to make it look so retro-futuristic, in a colorscheme that stands out, yet could also be seen as a part of a greater scheme / fleet. Excellent parts usage all around. (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Very few robots make me chuckle when I see them. Congrats. (20 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Ministry of Space is GO!

Hi guys, Welcome to the Royal Commonwealth Ministry of Space. It's Britian gone to space... odd idea? Well it comes from a great comic called "Ministry of Space"... pretty cool read.   Re: MOC: The GuiseBot

(...) girder pieces is a bit bulky since it lacks any special elbow joint, but I still <3 it. Hats off to you. There are all sorts of other cool things to see. I like how you did the waist. What are those, fanbelt wheels? I love the detailed (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: 2 MOCs: Dirt Collector and Switchbot

Hi, Samarth. This is the coolest thing I've seen highlighted out of .space in a while. I really like the design and imaginitiveness here. I'm always a fan of working in bizarre "useless" parts into cool creations, and you've succeeded here both with (...) In lugnet.space, Tony Hafner wrote: TY for the comments and good critique. (...) I tried to blend the wheels in by using the curved top bricks, but I'll agree that the nozzles aren't as great as they could've been. First time *I* used those wheels (...)   Re: 2 MOCs: Dirt Collector and Switchbot

(...) The scoop is a bit goofy, but it sets the spirit of the model well. We're all here to have fun, right? Beyond that, the ship design is good. While the nozzles are nothing to write home about, the engine mounting and other detailing is (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.underground, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ion Cannon Corvette: IL-77 Hawkeye

(...) Great color scheme. You've balanced out the base and highlight colors nicely. I was surprised at the scale- until I counted the studs, I didn't realize quite how large it was. And the interior looks pretty roomy. Nice! As others have pointed (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Haha, Brian! You called me on my bluff! But really, there will be more than enough room. Make sure you make a MOC Card for the BIA, and I'll make sure I have some extra width for it! -Lenny (20 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest)

2 MOCs: Dirt Collector and Switchbot

So the other day I was playing around with the scoop from the Pneumatic Front End Loader: [LEGOSet 8464] And realised how useless it was, considering I had never used it after I had torn the set down years ago. So (naturally) I thought I'd make a (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.underground, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !!

Re: Ion Cannon Corvette: IL-77 Hawkeye

Thanks for the comments! Just a note: the green on the ship is actually just regular green: the lighting made it look darker, I suppose. I don't even own any dark green pieces ;) Also, yes, I put the pilot's chair on hinges, mainly so that it raises (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ion Cannon Corvette: IL-77 Hawkeye

Most excellent swooshableness, Ian! The SNOT work is top-notch all-around, especially on the nose (hyuk!) and the wings. Great color combo too. Only problem is you have way too much dark green! You need to pack up the excess and send it to me (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: Ion Cannon Corvette: IL-77 Hawkeye

(...) Hey there, Ian, For a model that uses so little SNOT construction, the Hawkeye has a very nice shape. It's good to be reminded that SNOT is a means to an end, not an end in itself. I also like the unusual color scheme. Am I right in observing (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
