  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Haha, Brian! You called me on my bluff! But really, there will be more than enough room. Make sure you make a MOC Card for the BIA, and I'll make sure I have some extra width for it! -Lenny (20 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest)

2 MOCs: Dirt Collector and Switchbot

So the other day I was playing around with the scoop from the Pneumatic Front End Loader: [LEGOSet 8464] And realised how useless it was, considering I had never used it after I had torn the set down years ago. So (naturally) I thought I'd make a (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.underground, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !!

Re: Ion Cannon Corvette: IL-77 Hawkeye

Thanks for the comments! Just a note: the green on the ship is actually just regular green: the lighting made it look darker, I suppose. I don't even own any dark green pieces ;) Also, yes, I put the pilot's chair on hinges, mainly so that it raises (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ion Cannon Corvette: IL-77 Hawkeye

Most excellent swooshableness, Ian! The SNOT work is top-notch all-around, especially on the nose (hyuk!) and the wings. Great color combo too. Only problem is you have way too much dark green! You need to pack up the excess and send it to me (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: Ion Cannon Corvette: IL-77 Hawkeye

(...) Hey there, Ian, For a model that uses so little SNOT construction, the Hawkeye has a very nice shape. It's good to be reminded that SNOT is a means to an end, not an end in itself. I also like the unusual color scheme. Am I right in observing (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Me, Myself, and The Brick

(...) Paul, glad to hear you're coming. Please consider getting involved with MichLUG. We're a pretty active club, about 2 dozen members, with several dedicated spacers in our ranks including Rick Hallman, Trevor Pruden, and others. There's also a (...)   Re: Me, Myself, and The Brick

(...) Go Blue! Ann Arbor's a fun town (can get a bit cool in the winters though). Have fun. I, too, am curious about these "Lego classes." Please elaborate. Paul Hanson - BFA U of M '90 (now living in California) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: Me, Myself, and The Brick

(...) Can you expand on this? What is a LEGO class, and how does one convince a respectable university to let you teach one? Would you happen to have a syllabus or other course notes available? Thanks, - Joe (20 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.space)

  Me, Myself, and The Brick

howd all, well, I finished teaching my last Lego class for the University of Utah recently. Got my Masters degree and a fellowship to U Mich, so me and the fam and the lego are moving to Ann Arbor. I'd love to continue to teach Lego in that area, (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Hi Lenny, I'm trying to get my schedule switched around so I can come to BrickFest again this year. If I can make it, I'd like to bring my newest BIA. This is the last time it was displayed in February, however it's grown a lil' since then (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) WHAT?????!! The self-publicizing Kevoh forgot to x-post to other NGs??? SHOCKING! Anyways, I made my entry today, I'll post soon. Legoswami (20 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

Announcing : The Second Annual Tim and Kevin's Bot Contest!

It's that time of year again! Tim Deering and Kevin Blocksidge are once again hosting the rocking-est contest ever held throughout space and time forever in all eternity!   MOC Cards are GREAT!! was Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Yes, Larry understands me well. And actually, there is a bit of information about HOW to fill out your MOC card for Moonbase modules in the original announcements that would also help out. MOC Cards are AWESOME!!! -Lenny (20 years ago, 2-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Translation: Fill out the MOC Card form! That's how the coordinators know what's coming and how they can plan. Big OR small, every creation that shows up should have a MOC card in the system... it really really really helps a lot. (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Exactly my idea Bruce. Also, people can contribute by bringing maintainence crews, etc. I'd love to see a bunch of little maintainence rovers and whatnot. Stuff like that would be in the running for Best Detail - we want to see small stuff (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Actually, from this (URL) it looks like it was 2x2. 4x4 is pretty darn huge - that would be 60 inches x 60 inches - or 5ft by 5ft. That would be great. If something that big just happens to show up at fest, Dan and I will make whatever changes (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)
