  Re: Double Bubble...

Hey Richie, Very cool! I had tried something like this when I got my Republic gunship because I wanted more than half a bubble. One of the replies asked if the bubble could open. I knew it couldn't in the present configuration because of the way the (...) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship

Hey Samarth! This is one nice model! I especially like the multitude of details, also the mechanized tools. I was thinking, maybe you can "un-bastardize" it and convert it to a good old train. ;o) (...) You bet ;o) But for a space MOC it actually (...)   Re: And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship

(...) There's a reason: Its a theme bastardization. Its a Track Maintainance of Way unit. See what it is inspired by as well. Legoswami (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) -snip- (...) Ok, I'll let you slide this time, lol. I would encourage you to expand on this concept, I think it is very cool. e (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

Re: And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship

(...) Thanks for the kind words, Eric! :-) (...) Not sure yet. If one of my higher-priority projects needs parts from it, maybe not, although I think I've not used a single part I'm likely to need anytime soon. I think it'll be around for a few (...)   Re: And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship

Oh hey! right on! You built it! That is so cool, the color, the specs, the realistic look. I like the scale and the forward cab is really good. Thanks for sharring..... Questions Will you keep this model? What else might you build that will add to (...) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

  Double Bubble...

Bubble Car (2 URLs) A bit more than a year ago, I put together the (URL) space bubble car>, a small spacey car designed for driving around space places. After posting the original bubble car I worked on the idea a bit, but two house moves got in the (...) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: What's the hardest part of an MOC?

I would say getting the darn things finished. I often get 90% done with something then decide I do not like and tear it apart. I would say I finish maybe 1 out of every 8 models I start Brent (URL) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

In lugnet.announce.moc, Samarth Moray wrote: BrickShelf Folder (URL) (...) Samarth, I live the model, really fun. You managed to cature the train MOW quite well. As for the dirty brick, I like it. It gives the ship character. Mat (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: What's the hardest part of an MOC?

(...) That's easy: It's getting 5 to 10 thousand pieces into a construction and having Thomas take a look and say: "Wouldn't it be better if you did it this way?" and so 5 to 10 thousand pieces get taken apart and sorted and reassembled and ... it's (...) Really stupid replying to my own post, but BS seems to be giving an error for the gallery URL. Here it is: (URL) trying to get the hang of this FTX thing......) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship

I’ve always been a fan of space, but I never really managed to get down to doing anything in the theme as of late as it was too abstract for me (Although I did a lot of stuff as a kid, my memory and definition of what spaceyness was got wiped out (...)   Re: Whoa! What set is that piece in?!

(...) The closest match from that set is the "Car Mudguard 2 x 4 x 2/3 with Front Studs". Peeron has no picture but (URL) has a picture of the part and it looks like it might be usefull (especially in the white as seen in the police car) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

(...) look (...) I'm (...) Oh yeah! I'm with you there. I can usually tell when I'm done when I tinker with the desing and make changes but then end up back where I started! Dave (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: Whoa! What set is that piece in?!

Hey Daniel, Thanks for the reply. I actually have that set. The piece (or pieces) I'm referring to are referred to as coming from set #7236. Some type of new 2x4 bracket. I checked the Peeron inventory for the set but didn't see any piece listed (...) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: X-Wing Mark IV

(...) Thank you. Yeah I have often had design issues by forcing a non-Lego shape with results that were far less then satisfactory. With this I felt that the chunkiness of the blocks would work as the basis for the design. Glad it worked! Thank you (...) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: X-Wing Mark IV

(...) Thank you. I agree about the canopy, it was not until the thing was finished that I notice the discrepancy -- but then again, it is a beefcaked-up version of the x-wing so I figured (hoped) that could justify the scaling issues. Thank you for (...) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: X-Wing Mark IV

(...) Thank you. Though the intake on the nose is actually a mistake, I was going to put some little greeblies there but in the excitement of actually finishing the darn thing I forgot. (...)
