I didn’t add a ton of greebling on purpose as to give it the annonomous feeling that so many bulk freighters have. However, anyone who thinks they can just stroll up and snatch a load of carge have another thing comming. With two decks and a modderate cargo area, the design is popular with captians.

This is just a rough trial of using an all hidden weapon vessel. I hope to build a larger and more detailed one once I can work out a few things. I would like to hear what you think of this type of ship and how I could make it better.

Also, can someone tell me how to imbed an image onto a post? ~F.K. Bounty

Ok, first thing dude, you need more pictures. I’d like to see some pics of the two decks, and of the rest of the interior. And some of the ship from other angles. This is a pretty big ship, and you just don’t have enough pics to get a good feel for it.

Yeah, sorry about not having enough. I got home from work late last night and ran out of sunlight for more photos. I hope to have a few more up maybe this weekend.

So, I think you’re deffinately working with a good idea here. I think most of your hatches look good, and they blend well into the lines of the ship, so mission accomplished there. I think maybe your guns, and the mechanisms for extending them could maybe use a little work. Also, it seems like using the side guns would expose the cargo bay to vacum, which seems like a bad idea (though this could just be a detail I a missing from the photos.
The belly-guns are seperated by a wall from the main cargo area and are not manualy controled from that lower deck. I should have explained it better, my bad. :)

One option I
have been considering for making concealed turrets that pop out is using shocks, so that when you close the lid, you push it in, and compress the springs, then you open it, and the turret pops up (this requires a pretty strong latch or magnets on the hatch). Try this piece if you’ve got any. This would allow you to get rid of the click hinges, which look a trifle tacky.
Hmm... I will have to work on this idea. I have a dozen or so of those little shocks and never have had much use for them.

Oh, and I find one of the best ways to learn how to do something in a post, is to find it in a post, and hit the “view raw message” link above the reply button. Also, the more link when creating a message is useful. ANd make sure it’s set to FTX. Hope that helps. You can grab it from this sig, if you want:
