  CS Airbike

As larceny without recompense is the highest form of smack, here is my latest theft of ideas from Phil Painter, namely his airbike... (URL) The design is a blast! Cheers, -Gil (21 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Some Sci Fi Concept Art

For a long time now, I've been collecting inspirational sci-fi artwork from all over the internet onto my harddrive. Last week, I started to upload the pictures to Maj. I'll be uploading more periodically, so be sure to check back. Maj sometimes (...) (21 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Caption Contest WINNERS?!?!

Well, lets just say that the Caption Contest turned out even better than I hoped it would - except for two glaring omissions: Keith Goldman and Janey Red Brick. WTF? Two of the funniest people I know, both dreadfully quiet. Well - you guys had yer (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: Iron Reich MOC: Iron Tiger

(...) There's only one place to connect things to the guns because of their construction unfortunately, though the click hinges may work. (...) I don't have any technic balljoints, though I really wish I did. (21 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Iron Reich MOC: Iron Tiger

(...) It seems to be pretty easy for replies to "old" post to get lost around here... Have you tried to balance the guns better by moving the point of balance forward? (And maybe raising it a bit to make room for tilting) As far as I ought to be (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module - Mech Bay 06

(...) snip (...) Eric, I've enjoyed your entire series of mech bays, and number six is certainly no exception. I love the red and light gray color scheme. It reminds me of a giant classic Space display I saw once (probably so long ago it might still (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Space Vikings

(...) I have never read it but I'll be sure to check it out, thanks. Any source of inspiration is worth a read, I am mostly re-reading norse mythology for names and concepts. (...) Definitely! Thanks again. Chris (21 years ago, 11-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Space Vikings

(...) Yes, I've visited your Brickshelf a few times and I like your Beserkers. I would like to see more of the Trondheim! Chris (21 years ago, 11-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Space Vikings

(...) I really like the pterosaurs, I also made use of the dinosaur joints once as front cannons on helicopters. So rewarding when one can use almost redundant parts. (...) Thanks. I think there is a wealth of ideas surfacing all the time in the (...) (21 years ago, 11-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Space Vikings

I don't know about designing subthemes, but I did try my hand at space vikings some time ago (and posted about it here, IIRC): (URL) Space Vikings in Berserker exosuits, with a section of the hull of the Trondheim in the background> I was tossing (...)
