The Space Pionneer Confederation is proud to announce two new
products for sale to any .space faction having fire problems:
---------------------------------------------
Name: Phoenix
Year of commissionning (in SPC): 2554
Year of decommissionning : still avtive
Type: Civilian
Mission: Fire fighter
Size (studs): 74x46x41
Stages: 2
Hydrant Hoses:
24 in 4 top turrets
6 underside
16 in 8 Fireship
Engines: 2 Spamcake engines
Speed: Mach 3
Autonomy: 3 days
Shields: light (mainly for heat protection)
Crew:
1 Pilot for the Phoenix
8 Pilots for the fireships
1 fireship C&C tactician
1 hydrant tank supervisor
1 engines controller
2 rescuers
up to 20 passengers rescued
Other:
Fire, the old ennemy. Even with today's technology, fire
can still go rampant. For such occasions, the Phoenix was
designed to handle all situations. From the small appartment
going ablaze to the forest fire and even oleoducs terrorism.
For the small fires, the 8 Fireships are perfect. For more
important ones, the Phoenix itself can join the fight with
as much as 30 Hydrant hoses. The only design fault is the
small size of the hydrant tank, meaning it has to refill
often if there is no nearby hydrant outlet. In case people
are still on site, two underside hactches with rescue pods
are available. More than 20 people can be rescued before
the Phoenix is full and must unload some of them.
---------------------------------------------
Name: Salamander
Year of commissionning (in SPC): 2555
Year of decommissionning : still avtive
Type: Civilian
Mission: Fire fighter
Size (studs): n/a
Stages: 1
Hydrant Hoses:
4 (2 right, 2 left)
Engines: 1 Spamcake engine
Speed: Mach 3
Autonomy: 1 day
Shields: light (mainly for heat protection)
Crew:
1 Pilot
4 firefighters
Other:
Built to correct the Phoenix's small tanks problem. The
Salamander has 6 hydrant tanks, connected to 4 hoses. It
allows to refill a Phoenix 6 times, and can deserve 2
Phoenix at a time. The Salamander can also leave the
hydrant tank on site while fetching a another one while it
is being used. This allows a faster supply of hydrant to
the Phoenix ships.

With those two MOCs finished, my lego collection is more than
half spent. I got the idea for the Phoenix after comparing
existing contest entries and real-life civilian vehicles. I
wanted something new and thus was born the idea of a Fire-Fighter
vehicle. I built the Salamander just after the Phoenix after i
realized the hydrant tank was way too small.
Any comment will be greatly appreciated!
Thank!

| (...) I like the general shape of the Phoenix- the hardpoints on the sides and the little slave ships that attach make for a cool outline. There's a good bit of interior space as well, and plenty of play features. I don't know, though... although it (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jun-04, to lugnet.space)
