Hi to all .spacers,
I was looking at different CS sets and i started wondering ...
we all know CS:
Several people followed Chris Giddens into pre-CS:
however there is (in my humble opinion) one set which does not fit either
eras - i think of it as a bridge between the two periods:
Id like to ask you:
1) if this interpretation seems ok to you
2) if a post-pre-CS era (lets call it PPCS) would be worth-interesting to
expand.

The Starfleet Voyager is what Ive always thought of as 2nd-generation Classic
Space. Look at the All-Terrain Vehicle: and the
entire
Space line from 1981. The design and construction techniques are slightly more
advanced, though quite similar, and the colors have changed. They are a logical
progression towards Futuron and onward to
Exploriens. I
dont think that PCS fits in with the classic space theme all that well in terms
of construction, though the colors make sense. The PCS theme works so well
because of a strong and well-themed design sense and currently-popular
construction techniques along with a catchy name. It could have been anything,
but Chris called it that and hes a darn good builder. Whether it fits into
Lego history in a logical place is irrelevant. So build whatever you want and
put it in wherever and whenever you want and it will be successful if you like
it. It will be popular if other people like it.
