Yes, even with its feature flaws I liked the look of this design so much that I built 3.

I really like these two ships; the shape is very compelling. The landing gear have an echo of the R2 droid feet to them.

Thank you! And speaking of R2, I was thinking of you last week when I put this together:

Is it just me, or does he look like he just robbed a bank and is looking forward to spending that cash?

The triple arm hinges look cool and the wide stance with the high side mounting gives it an overall low-slung look. It’s faintly insect-like. What is it with you and bugs anyway?

Hmm, you may be on to something there. If you look at my space gallery index and scroll all the way to the bottom, you’ll see this as one of the original 3 galleries that I posted on my site:

Yeah, that crazy canopy; so smooth yet, so sticky. But, it’s got the curves... I’ve got a new approach to it coming up soon BTW.

Excellent- I’m looking forward to that. And I still haven’t posted the other racer that I mentioned a few weeks ago (using this type of windscreen hinged in another way). The ship has been finished for quite a while now, but I have specific plans for a support vehicle and I really want that in the gallery with it.

   Peace and swooshing,

SWOOSH!
