  P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

First off, I hope all you .spacers out there enjoyed your weekends, and I wish you have a productive week. This has been a busy weekend for me. On Friday afternoon I kicked myself out of my post-PDX funk and set myself a goal: build at least two (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: March CoLUG Meeting: Castle vs Space...

(...) Very cool scene ! I realy like the kind of "bloodspilling" & "fire" you made with the transparent bricks. Do you have detailed pictures or dat-files of the litte mechs you've made ? Kai (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space)

  Re: Small, Red and Fast.

Oops! I just found out that SNOT really has a meaning as itself, something like mucus. So in French you can try "morve", maybe "mollard". JP. (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The P-38 Theme Hoverbike

Haha sweet! I love this. That and Rides on TLC are the coolest shows ever. This badboy totally feels and looks like a chopper, I love the front end. It looks like a P38 too. Those minifigs are sweet. Awesome -Geordan (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

Hey sweet, It looks nice and thick, but smooth and sleek at the same time. From the top you'd guess it was really thin. I like the engines and the guns especially, the missiles are sweet too. I don't mind the landing gear. Often times people (me) (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  2001 Teaser MOC

Here's a little teaser MOC for another model I'll be posting in a week or so... (URL) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space) !

  Re: StarScoot

(...) Yes, they are very useful. I hope they don't go away. (...) You are correct. It is just a prototypical engine type marking. Not all pink Lego is spamcake, and I try to remember to ask whenever I see pink Lego unshielded. (...) Piece of (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Small, Red and Fast.

(...) Hmmm, not sure I could do it... (...) Houla! That's a tough one you're asking here! Litteraly it should be something like "Crampon pas sur le dessus" (CPSLD, not easy to say...). "Crampon pas vers le haut" (CPVLH, same problem). Nothing really (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Small, Red and Fast.

(...) You don't need that. Just figure out a way to attach a 1x6 tile (2x in Bounty Hunter Pursuit, btw) on top of the forward fuselage. You've clearly got the spacing figured out or you would have been able to attach the air intakes, so all you'd (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Small, Red and Fast.

(...) Ah, but I was thinking of 1x2 grille tiles like the one on the front, which inspired the idea. That would make an excessively cool 3-D triple racing stripe. I haven't reverse engineered your design yet, so I don't know how that would work... I (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) David, this is hilarious, and well executed. Way to fill a pool with gags. Too bad there's no room for surfing. :-D Oh, yeah, and the price of a glass of water on the moon doesn't surprise me one bit. ( My wife works in the arctic on occasion, (...)   Re: Small, Red and Fast.

(...) You're so right about the racing stripe! I wish I could have made an orange stripe going from the front to the canopy, but unfortunately I don't have any 1x1x1 orange piece.... :-( (...) Peace and 1x1x1 orange plate... JP. (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Small, Red and Fast.

(...) Thanks Dan. Agree with you about the greebles, I am not a big fan of those. A little bit is a nice touch though. (...) JP. (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Small, Red and Fast.

Thanks James! What do you mean by "under the hood"? Construction pics? Let me know, I can easily take some and post them if you wish. Cheers, JP. (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) I'm not sure I ever saw that before. The invisible water idea works pretty well in his pool, because it's obviously a swimming pool w/ diving board, but mine would have just looked like a sloped sand-dune without water and someone flying the (...)   Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) Oh? In a general sense, or did someone actually do that to you? (...) Absolutely! Notice that even bully-droids and tyrant-wizards wear speedos in space. Black and red, of course, because dressing in those colors makes you look extra sinister. (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle

I like this one! Recently I build a boxy kind of space ship front head looking very similar to yours, but had a huge lack of inspiration for the body / engines. Hmmmm it looks a little bit like a shoe-box-with-a-dart...-and-fins. I guess somewhere (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The P-38 Theme Hoverbike

I guess that's the smallest minifig P38 entry so far. This one works for me. Very nice touch to find the "white-black-white" stripes on the wings and twin fuselage! Nice work Jamie! JP. (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: StarScoot

(...) Excellent, Tom. That canopy really works well at that angle and gives further proof of the necessity of the finger hinge. Now, that can't be exposed spamcake on the sides, can it? No, it must just be 'painted' to indicate the presence of (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Thanks! (...) That's the problem-- I'd have to sacrifice the clean look for more realistic landing gear. I tried a few different landing gear configurations on the underside of each fuselage but it lost the smoothness. So I'd rather stick with (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
