  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Hello Daniel, Always a pleasure to see your work. I've been an admirer since I came online. I must say this one doesn't dissapoint. (you never do) It looks tough as nails, capable of taking a real beating while getting ready for delivering (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Too cool! Now that's what I call a heavy attack fighter! :-) Aside from the SNOT construction and clean lines, I like those huge dual guns up front, and the missiles. It's amazing how effortlessly you make landing gear, and how you add little (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Hey Dan, great fighter as always. What amazes me about your style is that it always looks so clean. There is something about your work that is 'essential' (meaning, of the essence) - it reminds me of 1950's style space fighters. Very good (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Ya, but doesn't the Devastator (the first plane you fly with, at least in the demo) have mid or tip wing rudders (underneath) which also have landing gear in them? So it's not totally unreasonable(1). Besides maybe the wings are made of (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Thanks! (...) That's the problem-- I'd have to sacrifice the clean look for more realistic landing gear. I tried a few different landing gear configurations on the underside of each fuselage but it lost the smoothness. So I'd rather stick with (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Although I find CS to be a great reference for anything space or over-the-top-aviation, it does stray into that "huh" area when it comes to physics and general rule-bending. When the first computer game came out a few years ago, the main point (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

Hey sweet, It looks nice and thick, but smooth and sleek at the same time. From the top you'd guess it was really thin. I like the engines and the guns especially, the missiles are sweet too. I don't mind the landing gear. Often times people (me) (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Very nice! Your's came together how I envisioned mine would...yet failed :( The VTOL function is just marvy....I've a huge fan. Great build Dan. Cheers, -G (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: P-38 contest entry

(...) Excellent creations as usual. I really like you maintained the P-38 look yet put the main thrusters in the tail-plane rather than in the twin booms. I personally don't mind the way you did the landing gear. Seems entirely plausible for a (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
