Another small fighter for your consideration: The Gladius (URL) And the (URL) full folder> after moderation. The Gladius is the "Big Brother" to the (URL), sharing the basic frame with an upgraded engine and vastly superior firepower. The increaase (...)   Re: Gladius

(...) I like it. Reminds me of a spaceship from a Japanese side-scrolling shooter game, like Gradius (hey, wait a minute) -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gladius

(...) This is a very cool upgrade! The colors are really nice and the wing shape is unique. I dig the big gun! How'd you mount it in that cone piece? My only complaint is that is has no landing gear, but that's only a minor problem. Hope to see more (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Hey, that's pretty cool. Add a little more trans orange and it would be right at home in Ice Planet. Your ship building skills are evolving quite nicely! Adrian (URL) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gladius

(...) Hey thanks! Had the main rebuild done a month ago but something seemed wrong... even the pics I took back then all came out blurry. So after staring at it for a while I swapped out four 2x1 45 degree slope bricks for 4 3x1 33 degree slopes and (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Ice planet - I almost went there... except I wanted the engine exhaust ports to be a different color than the weapons... yeah, that's an almost reasonable sounding excuse :) As for evolving skills... Taking a chronological approach, I'm not (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gladius

(...) Holy Cheeto Spaceman! I never would have made that connection, I've never even heard of that game, but looking at some (URL) screenshots> and (URL) fly.to.gradius> I definitely see the resemblance! Weiiiierd! I named my ship after the after (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gladius

(...) Wow! This is an excellent step up from the Tanto! White and blue look great together, and the fighter design is definately interesting - especially that front area with the things coming out. good stuff! Can't wait for the next moc! -Lenny (20 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gladius

Nice work, TRS. I'm not usually partial to (URL) 'SPOT'> styled ships, but this one does catch my eye. I quite like the external monitor and the balance of greebles to clear space. I don't think this one needs or could stand more greebles. And, I (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gladius

(...) hey thanks... I knew putting a gun there was better than some silly sensor pod... not that sensor pods are bad... I mean they aren't evereywhere or anything.. always watching... Aggghhhhhhh TRS (20 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Yah links... links good. Makes reading the post in e-mail a little strange but it looks nice on Lugnet. Glad you like the Gladius too :) (URL) TRS> (20 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) That sound you may have heard fainly in the distance earlier today was me smacking my forehead... Engrish... jeeze... (...) If I ever find it I'll have to give it a try. (...) Thanks for the education! (URL) TRS> (20 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gladius

(...) Nice. The shape is a lot like the Narn heavy cruiser(?) from Babylon 5. If possible, I would have replaced some of the white greeble/dish/gun bits with gray elements - it generally makes them look more realistic (I think there'd be some (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Gladius

(...) Dude, this is really neat! I like the shape and ideas on it- original or not. The wing designs caught my eye- I like the small wings on the very back put at an odd angle and the lasers underneath that swing out. Very cool. Very swooshable a (...)
