  MOC: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

The Pegasus is the most versatile single seat fighter/scout rocket money can buy. Whatever your need, scramble interceptions, orbital superiority, combat space patrol, front line or remote support, or long range scouting, the Pegasus can provide, (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jan-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

I like it! Very "Buck Rogers"-esque (and Wallace & Gromit "A Grand Day Out," too). James Wilson Dallas, TX (20 years ago, 27-Jan-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

(...) I like this a lot. Those old-style rockets have always had a certain look to them... its nice to see a MOC of one. This is cool- an almost mini-rocket. The smooth shape is cool, yet the simple details like the cockpit, the steps leading up and (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) (URL) Captain Crash, pilot of the Red Rocket 2> Gives it a big thumbs up! Getting a canopy on a shape like that is extremely challenging! Can't wait to see more. -Sean (20 years ago, 28-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

(...) Sean, Thanks, you can't tell from the picture, but there's a tiny gap between the canopy mounted horizontally, and the swing open door. The canopy also opens a little, it's on a hinge, but too much throws off the whole alignment. The spacemin (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

(...) John, Thanks for your kind words. Greeblies are hard to pull off on this kind of MOC, though when I make a large one, I can add all sorts of Deco-ish spires and projections and fins. I need a better picture of the inside of the door, there's a (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

(...) James, Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon were one of the targets I was trying to hit, thanks! George (20 years ago, 28-Jan-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

Hey George, It took me a minute to figure out how you did the ladder leading the pilot's seat. In a word, AWESOME. I hope I can remember that one for the future. Super cool! The only thing missing is the smoke coming out of the engine and then (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

(...) It is very Buck Rogers, or Duck Dodgers if you prefer, but it reminds me of both of their kinds of craft nevertheless. Say, if you have some room, and a snail-mail address, perhaps you would be kind enough to let me send some of my ideas to (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jan-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Pegasus Fighter/Scout

(...) Dave, Thanks, but I must admit I borrowed that ladder idea from someone else's space MOC about two years ago. It was a good fit when I changed orientation of the cockpit. Someday when I have the free time I should add lots of smoke and such (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jan-04, to lugnet.space)
