        Re: Announcing DeepSpace.com —Mark Sandlin
(...) Your preceding message indicates that you're well aware that bumping posts is unacceptable. I had hoped that you were more mature than some of the kids around here. Please don't prove me wrong. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (21 years ago, 14-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

        Re: Announcing DeepSpace.com —Zac Soden

I'm not one to go stirring up potential arguements but I too wondered if anyone had actually noticed the post - the only indication of its function is the hit counters on (...)         The practice of bumping ( was Re: Announcing DeepSpace.com —Larry Pieniazek
I'm not real keen on bump posts, and I don't usually like to see them.(1) The best bump posts, in my view, are the ones that you don't realise are actually bumps, because the post talks about a new facet of the topic or brings additional information (...)         Re: Announcing DeepSpace.com —Chris Giddens
(...) Guys, you have to be patient and establish the idea in the minds of the group. Honestly, a post that announces #1 a new site #2 a MOC #3 a new MOC #4 a new MOC and #5 a new MOC can be overload. The people just file the idea away and look for (...)         Re: "Bumping" Posts (was: Announcing DeepSpace.com) —Mark Sandlin
(...) I'm not sure why this is so hard to understand. If bumping posts becomes an accepted practice, then everyone who thinks they need more attention is going to do it. Then all of a sudden lugnet.space becomes lugnet.bumpymymoc and the top 20 (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: "Bumping" Posts (was: Announcing DeepSpace.com) —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Bumping is replying to a post so that the topic moves back up the list of topics being discussed.
