Just for future reference, I find a small piece of paper in the ball joint stiffens them up nicely vis this pic (you can see the poorly trimmed paper where the kneck joins the body). I tried Tony Knaak’s method (whatever happened to him - haven’t seen him here in awhile), but it doesn’t stiffen the ball in every direction, and it’s bulky, not to mention extremely fiddly to build, but hey it was worth trying. I also tried nail polish on the ball, but it wasn’t very effective, and it’s permanent.

Paper is simple, effective and non-destructive. 80gsm works about best without stressing the socket too much. It should allow you to extract a few more balletic poses out of your model.
