I made this station modular to look like the real one NASA is making.  What is
the link to the pictures you're talking about?  My station uses mostly special
pieces from the 2x3x6 corridor system, with rounded inside and outside corners.
I put a bulkhead between sections so they could be sealed off in an emergency.
I have not liked any of the other modular designs I have seen so far.

Imagine...

It wouldn't look right if the holes where big enough to pass thru, or it • would
be very weakly connected if the hole was big enough.  Had to comprimise.

I would just beef up the entire system alltogether.  Design modules with
both the strength and the stability to hold together _and_ allow
passthrough.  I have some (few pictures) on my E-43 transport model - but
they're rail-mounted on a spacecraft, not for free-standing stations.  But
it wouldn't be hard to adapt that design to a free-standing station module.

Maybe a modified rail/girder system that's the superstructure of a station,
with the modules fitting inside, or clamping to that structure?  Think like
NASA does :)
