  Brickfest Moonbase Fluidics

(...) Heh (...) Sounds good to me. Maybe we can order some Maryland-esque crabs? Hey Brickfest Spacers, Okay, well... (...) To go along with this update and because there are about two weeks left, I thought it would be a good idea to address a (...) (...) I'm not a huge fan of seafood, but if it's a surf 'n' turf place and I can get myself a big ol' hunk of cow, I'll be satisfied. (...) --snipped worries about airlocks and the lack thereof-- There's a much easier solution to this. Force Fields! (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

(...) --snipped food Fest interests-- (...) Adrian, Thanks for the idea. I agree that this solution is quite elegant except it doesn't ring with me that well. It definitely is easy and efficient. I guess it's just that I like the idea of more (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: Brickfest Moonbase Fluidics

eh, just build some modules. Don't worry about the details. If you can believe in fleebs, you can believe in magical science that handles everything (it's done with ball bearings and 30 weight motor oil, but don't tell anybody) Detail is fun, (...)   Moonbase airlocks (was Re: Brickfest Moonbase Fluidics)

(...) I believe you are "overthinking" the whole airlock issue. If everyone puts normal mini-fig house doors, opening inward, about 2 or 3 studs in from the edge of a connection corridor, there would be instant airlocks between all the modules. (...)   Re: Brickfest Moonbase Fluidics

(...) -snip- You're not out of whack, Andrew. You're keeping it spacey. I think its too late to make new building guidelines as many of the modules are built. But, this is the type of idea we would want to discuss during the roundtable. So keep (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

(...) But those doors have open spaces! Hehe... Mike, I agree with you and Admiral Giddens that thinking of too much detail isn't always the best way to go. Now regular "glass/lucite/Nocrac©" doors would do the thing but they narrow the corridor, (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

(...) Thanks, Felix, that's good to know. You're right and will do. The roundtable should be great! -Andrew (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

(...) You only think those are open spaces. Those are holomorphic armored panels. Only looks like open spaces. Hehe. (...) Well no, I think that detailing is good but if you want to change/add something that everyone will incorperate to already (...)
