  The Ace of Diamonds

Hello all! I just finished uploading some new stuff: (URL) The ancient Confederate carrier Ace of Diamonds> And a (URL) story featuring this ship> on my website. I would love to hear from you guys what you thought of it! Love, Sylvi (21 years ago, 12-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) There's several things I like about this ship. It's nice and big, I dig the openness of the front, and that's a nifty lil' pod you got there. Haven't seen one of those in a long while. But I think you've got a few too many colors going on. (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Sylvi, I hate to be blunt, but this ship just doesn't 'do it' for me. The shape is original and unique, but it is just a bit boxy IMHO. My suggestion would be to use some SNOT and rounded slopes to smooth out the exterior. Also, the colors (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Ace of Diamonds

(...) As we all would love to tell you too :-) I really admire the design of this model, it looks so, oh I don't know, cool. The top bridge section reminds me a little of the bridge in Galaxy Quest, can it detach in an emergency? Colours are a (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jul-03, to lugnet.space)

Sylvia, great job. I'm always impressed with capital-scale ships, and yours is no exception. I love the curved sides on the runway, and the greeblies, while not as extensive as some, are placed well and contribute nicely to the overall look of the (...) (...) Thanx Matt! The runway is one of my favorite aspect, too, but the greeblies are still a headache and will be greatly expanded in the next version! (...) Exactly my own problem Matt, but I never expected anyone else to notice this. In my own (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Sylvi, What a cool ship. Aside from what has been said before (details and color scheme), there is alot to like about this ship. You've introduced some very interesting design elements and shapes. This here: (URL) Highlights what i'm talking (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
