Those are high intensity flame throwers.  They redirect waste fuel and heat
from the reactor and spew it out all over unfortunate enemy soldiers.  These
mechas run very hot, and need to dissipate heat.  I liked this method of heat
dissipation as it seems rather sinister, and in so was consistant with the
design philosophy of the Antiv
forces(see http://home.austin.rr.com/prj/antiv.html).

I just uploaded some images of my first mecha model.  It is not like most of
the mecha designs out there so i refer to it as a walker.  The thing it • reminds
me most of is an AT-AT though there isn't really much of a resemblence.  The
model is highly detailed, and very heavily armed.

For you spacers out there I also uploaded some pictures of my latest
minifig space craft.  The ship is designed to be an anti-capital ship
weapon.  It has a large 'ship-busting cannon mounted in the front as well
as 5 articulated missle/bomb arrays that contain 40 mounting points.  It
has two cockpits and an interior engineering section (no pics of the
interior yet).

More deatils about the ship and walker as well as names will come when I add • it
to my website.

Looks great.  Reminds me of teh Rifleman from Mechwarrior.  One question.
What are those two 1x1 cylinders under the cockpit, antipersonal weapons,
sensors, or something totally different?
