Secondary Systems is proud to announce the beginning of Martian
colonization. Following the Moonbase Module standard, this new Marsbase
features two corridor connectors (I-Configuration), a Med-lab, observation
tower, and a small hydroponics bay.

This module was inspired by Kim Stanley Robinson's 'Red Mars' trilogy of
novels and an overabundance of orange bricks. Someone asked me what I was
going to use them for, and I responded: "I think I'll just build 48x48
baseplates out of it." And then, PING!, inspiration!
Some people may notice the distinct similarity to the Arctic Polar Base by
LEGO. Polar architecture has long be recognized as a top design style for
Martian construction. We at Secondary Systems have simply upgraded the
architectural style for our Martian colony.
PS, I would like to apologize to any Martians who may be offended by the
enslavement portrayed in the model. Please remember that this is a work of
fictional art, and the creator does not condone slavery. If any humans are
offended by the portrayal of 'civilized' people subjugating 'natives', then
you need to deal with your own guilt, but not hold the creator responsible.

| That's excellent work Aaron. It's just so...fun! The details like the hydroponics and the odd shaped airlock really make it stand out. Orange is one of my new favorite colours - wish I had it in this quantity. Would love to see some more interiors. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

| Wow, I really like this one. It's just so... clean. Even with a small amount of greeblies, the structure is neat, yet industrial in a way. I love the Martian terrain- the way your created tiny bumps and valleys really convey the sense of soil. I (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

| (...) This is really neat but is bright orange the best color to use for the Martian landscape? It's closer to Tan than orange. Too bad they don't make something between Tan and Brown. KL (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)
