What does everyone think of the LOM sets? I am thinking of buying the human
sets and this week will buy two mono jets (each mono jet seems to have one
of everything so buying two will give me even numbers!). I like blue, white
and grey parts and the LOM human stuff seems to be made in these colours. Is
the T3 trike any good, what about the solar explorer.
Please give me some feedback.

I am a completist.  Therefore I got EVERY LOM set. With the exception of the
2 MECHs the sets were really over priced.  On the other hand, as a whole the
LOM system is kind of neat.

1. Modularity:  To modulate all the diffent sets with each other made for
some kewl story ideas and lots of play fun (tho, my co-workers think I am a
bit daft).  No need to disassemble and rebuil just make different
connections between the models.

2. Recon Mech, Red Planet Protector, and Excavation Search all  work
together with the Areo Tube Hanger set.  The brown station you build for the
ES connects to the third tube of the ATH set.  The back of each mech then
"plugs" into their respectively color-coded station.  Pretty neat

The "idea" behind the Trike and the Monojet is that they are made up of
parts of the Solar Explorer that has crash landed on Mars (I played the
online game). The LOM series of sets has a lot of play value built in but
unfortunately doesn't seem to fit within any of the other system sets.  It's
not really a town set and not really a space set.  Perhaps it is a "bridge"
set between the two as I have seen suggested before.

After re-reading my post I realize that I have rambled, but, there are my thots.

My $.02.  Give change if need be.
