    New MOC: Shuttlecraft —Paul Hanson
Hey everybody - I've been working for a while on a large spaceship [1]. It'll probably be a while before I get that done, but in the meantime I've built a shuttlecraft that'll go with it: (URL) single largest factor influencing the design was that (...)          Re: New MOC: Shuttlecraft —Paul Hanson
(...) Folding wings are great for ships that have to squeeze into tight spaces. I orginally built this without wings, and it looked like a flying brick - I think the decision to add them was a good one :-) Thanks! - Paul (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

I think this is great Paul. It's so simple (totally in a good way)...non-engreebled, nice clean colours, great straightforward functionality. The whoosh factor is definately high. It's just...cool. Looking forward to seeing the final assemblage. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Shuttlecraft —Paul Hanson
(...) Thanks! Glad you like it. I've built some pretty heavily engreebled things in the past, but those things would just burn off when you enter atmosphere. And yes, it's VERY whooshable. I've been flying it around the house all week - my wife (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Shuttlecraft —Paul Hanson
(...) Thanks! Speaking of capital ships, I was mightily impressed by your Viracocha. A nice roomy yet detailed interior, and way cool how the smaller ship fits on top! - Paul (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Glad you liked Viracocha and your minifigs are always welcome to land your shuttle on top of it! Alexander (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) yet it has some nice details and the requisite things like landing gear and a functional hatch. Well done. Looking forward to seeing the mother ship. ~GAMH (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Shuttlecraft —Paul Hanson
(...) Glad you like it. I'm especially pleased with the way the landing gear folds up nice and tight against the wings. It was not originally planned, but it worked out great. - Paul (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Shuttlecraft —Jeffrey M. Szklennik
(...) snip (...) snip That ship is GREAT!--simple strong design & lots of features. Can we see a pic of the underside, to see how the landing gear works? you seem to have a very efficient & well designed landing solution. I especially like the roomy (...)         Re: New MOC: Shuttlecraft —Paul Hanson
(...) Thanks! Doh! I knew I should've taken a picture of the bottom. I'll try to post one soon. The landing gear is basically just click hinge pieces. Beneath the deck is a one-brick-high layer, so I had some room to play with. The front gear folds (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)
