  A scout ship

This is a small scout ship. I had part of it built, but Bram inspired the cocpit! (a minifig can sit in the cocpit, too!) (URL) here: (URL) puny compared to Bram's ship- but he's a genius and I'm not! Its an unfair world! ;-) PLMKWYT! -JHK (22 years ago, 28-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Very cool, white/tan is a good colour scheme, and a great example of using click-hinges to create funny angles (IMO the click hinge has been the best new lego invention in the last 5 years). (...) Genius needs time to develop and resources (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Neat ship, JK. Interesting wing design, I have never before seen the 'leading edge' of a wing piece on the inboard side. Where did you get the trans. blue canopy part? -Matt . (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Thanks! The blue piece comes from explorian sets. I got two copies of 6856, (one I bought and the other came from a birthday) so that's were I got mine. -JHK (or JK!) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

<forgot to reply sooner> I like your choice of colours. The angled wings make the craft look sleek, and interesting. ;-) The only thing I dislike is the cockpit... Sorry, I just think it doesn't fit in with the rest of the craft. :-( BTW, your space (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) I've only got about 50k bricks... the challenge is to use them creatively :) But you're right about experience, it certainly does help to have 16 consecutive years worth... --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu www.bldesign.org (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

JHK strikes again! With a small ammount of bricks you can really make very innovative space creations. In my experience, having a limited ammount of bricks means you can only have one or two ships on your shelf at the same time, you have to (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Thanks! Yeah, I know the feeling. One of my ships has about half the greeblies taken off it... not enough to go around! (...) Yeah, a bit! :) Thanks! (...) -JHK (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A scout ship

(...) Thanks! The engine definitley is a bit scummy! I really like 4X4 radar dishes... they always appear on my ships. (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.space)
