Thanx Curt. Using quarter saucers this way was actually inspired by Mark
Sandlin's Eidolon Industries HF-250 Medium Freighter:
http://www.nwlink.com/~sandlin/lego/spacecraft/iafreighter/ which I took a
bit farther. The colors are great together, I agree wholeheartedly.

A new ship, built to accompany my subcapital ship, the Sheffield Class
Border Patrol vessel, can be seen on my page.

This ship was built because my girlfriend picked up some left over pieces on
my workbench and said they would make a great 'little brother' of the
Sheffield. The gunboat was the result of my first ever collaboration with my
girlfriend. It came out okay, considering we were dealing with left-overs
and did not allow ourselves to cannibalize the Sheffield. Only when we
finished I noticed it has no entry hatch, but by then my girlfriend refused
to take it apart again and who am I to refuse her?

See the results at http://www.zwagerman.net/lego/borpatboat.html

Check out the Sheffield itself: http://www.zwagerman.net/lego/borpat.html

Wow, both of those look really awesome. I especially like the use of
SNOT-placed quarter saucers and SNOT walls. I had not seen the Sheffield
before, actually. Both of them are excellent MOCs. I think the light/dark
red and the light/dark grey go well together.
