Re: Giant Cruiser and MOC contest —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Well, my NEF ship, HMS Experiment, is still slowly creeping along. I have one teaser of the ship's nose and "neck", which are in fact three separate pieces that come apart to view the interior and take photos (no good lighting right now, (...) (23 years ago, 20-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

I like what's come of it so far.....the no nonsense design compliments the NEF timeframe. The globes in the background remind me a little of 'Silent Running'...a true '70's sci-fi classic. Any hints as to crew compliment, or will that be held ne (...) (23 years ago, 21-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) If memory serves, the biospheres from Silent Running were flatter-- and, of course, bigger. The idea I have is of the eight deuterium globes in two rows of four, and a third row (forming a triangular array) that uses 10x10 trans-green lids and (...)    (...) Thanks muchly--yeah, I liked the "look" of Suffren. I think the body's going to follow that form factor, but be a bit wider and a lot taller. But alas, the body will take time to build! :( Isn't that just the way--as soon as I have enough (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.space)
