Hey.. don't be knockin blue domes! ;-) (I wish had yellow ones too... and
green ones... and orange ones... and red ones... etc. Wait.. I don't think
they ever made red ones! I don't care, I can still wish :)
Here's something I made awhile back that needs better pictures[1], but the
quarter dome canopy slides forward on tiles and remains shut when closed, even
when turned upside down. Ship's standard complement is 5: captain (hard to
see, all in classic black, sits behind everyone), mission specialist, science
officer, command grade pilot, and weapons specialist. All inside sit upon one
of those 10x10 plates with a grate in it, right over the weapons' core. The
back section also slides backwards for easy maintenance and repair. It does
lack retractable landing gear ATM, but I've got a few black springs that
should take care of that nicely. (And yes, castle corner pieces r0ck!)
(I *do* want to continue to make this ship bigger :)
