  A tanker

A couple pics of this sub capital was taken for my by fellow group member Ken Koleda (thanks, Ken!) at the Michlug mini-meet yesterday. It's about 107 studs long when the tanker module is attached by means of a collar. (URL) pics of this ship and (...) (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) The ship has a good look for a futuristic space truck. Todd (URL) (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Two more what? Two more ships? :D Or can the modules be run in tandem, like the tandem load lorries that are still legal in Ohio and Michigan? The collar: What's the theory there? Just Technic pegs? Or is it good for bearing the connector's (...) (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A tanker

(...) Yes- somewhat akin to the ships in Space Truckers. But please don't take that as an insult! For anyone unfamiliar with Space Truckers, it's a bad sci-fi flick starring Dennis Hopper. The most memorable moment was George Wendt ("Norm" from (...) (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Hmm, off on a bit of a tangent but is there any connectiopn to the Deep Purple song "Space Truckin'"? I could never figure out that song. Magnus (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A tanker

(...) I have no clue save for the timing. The movie lags behind by about 20 years. Perhaps the song served somewhat as inspiration, but I'm only guessing. XFUT: off-topic.fun -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.off-topic.fun)
